Profile Introduction
I have been practicing family law in Los Angeles and Orange Counties for more than 35 years. In 1980 I became one of the first family law attorneys in California to earn the distinction as a Certified Family Law Specialist. I have incorporated Collaborative Divorce into my practice because I believe it offers a divorcing couple a peaceful alternative to the traditional divorce in court.
Divorce is a confusing and stressful time in any person's life. To a person going through this process life can feel chaotic and out of control, with more questions than answers. Collaborative divorce provides a safe-haven for divorcing couples that want to preserve their resources and protect their children from the emotional damage that commonly results from litigation.
Collaborative Divorce is a non-adversarial process in which trained professionals combine their talents to help divorcing couples through their divorce. The collaborative team assists divorcing parents create a plan for the children and resolve financial and legal questions.
Collaborative practice provides divorcing couples with the means by which they can resolve their marital differences in a peaceful, non-adversarial manner. With the assistance of the collaborative team, spouses can discuss and resolve all issues in their divorce, including children, child support, spousal support and division of community property.
