Profile Introduction

My career as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist has included work with individual adults, children, adolescents, couples and groups. My approach has been both cognitive and solution focused. Some of my areas of expertise include working with grief, addiction, depression, anxiety and helping couples with communication problems. For about two years, I ran a group for individuals suffering from different forms of substance abuse and/or addiction that focused on such concerns as boundary issues, codependency, anger, communication and tools for staying clean and sober.

I have spoken on "Effective Communication Techniques" for the women's group at Irvine Community Center, have been published in The Journal of NAMI California and have also participated in the television special "Women and Mental Illness." I also worked as part of the "Counseling Team International," doing counseling for the San Diego County Firestorm Victims.

Currently, I am proud to be part of the Collaborative Divorce Solutions of Orange County team acting as a certified collaborative coach. In this capacity, I have the opportunity to use my therapy skills and tools to coach couples that are divorcing, towards a peaceful resolution that will benefit all parties involved. Recently, I took part in a radio interview for Radio Disney. Topic included the effects of divorce on children and the differences between coaching and therapy. I am currently involved in leading a grief support group along with my ongoing individual clients that I see weekly for therapy.
